When I go to "connect to a wireless display" and hit detect it doesn't find anything, when I hit Win+P to bring up the project menu it shows me different display options but nothing works without the cord and I see no "wireless" option, and I can't find the laptop through the TV. I tried like 5 different step by step google instructions and everything is fine except for the fact I cant seem to get the TV or laptop to find the other. Oh and I've mirrored to the this TV with cell phones successfully before. And the laptop is windows 8.1 which supports casting/mirroring according to everything I've read. Screen mirroring is enabled on the TV and I even set it to "always allow" while I'm trying to figure this out. The laptop and the TV are already connected wirelessly, I dont use an ethernet cable and even when I remove the HDMI cord "rokuTV" remains listed under "networks" on the laptop. But no matter what I can't get any kind of connection or screen mirroring going. I'm sure its the TV cause it has the same "name" I gave it and when I right click/properties it has a bunch of Roku info. Today I noticed under "network" on her laptop the TV was there. I have her laptop connected to the TV with an hdmi cord right now but its always in the way or getting unplugged. So I set up all my moms electronic stuff for her, been weaning her onto streaming more.
